Many brides and grooms decide to have a photo shoot with their horses. This can be arranged pre-wedding or at some point after the ceremony if the horse is on the property. The whole wedding party can be involved or maybe just a few special shots with the married couple. Either way, your horse can be glammed up with sparkles, a fancy halter, and your nicest saddle.

Do you have a child-friendly horse? If you’re having a rustic, barn wedding why not include your horse in a petting zoo or for pony rides. You might have to borrow a few more depending on the number of children, but pony rides are sure to delight your younger guests.

Now here’s a chance to show off your horse’s skills. If you have a horse or horses that drive, attach them to a carriage and make a grand entrance or departure. This can be done on horseback too! If your husband isn’t much of a rider, he can lead the horse while you ride on top. Ceremonies can even be done aboard your favorite horses.

Weddings can be so much fun to plan. Here’s your opportunity to include your horse in a day you’ll never forget!
