|

We love us some good ol’ country music and when it comes from the vocals and guitar talent of Cody Johnson, well that just makes it even better! So kick up your boots and read some fun facts about this country artist on the rise!

  1. Johnson first learned drums, guitar and started writing songs in junior high. After one of his teachers encouraged him to start a band, the novice group entered a Texas State Future Farmers of America talent contest and they finished first runner-up!
  2. Prior to signing with any labels, Johnson landed two releases in the Top 10 of Billboard’s country albums chart on his own CoJo label.
  3. Selling 74,000 tickets, Johnson has earned recognition as the only unsigned artist in history to sell out NRG Stadium at RodeoHouston.
  4. Johnson’s first career was as a professional bull rider! In fact, one of his most memorable moments came when the closing of his riding career collided with the launch of his singing career and his song came on while he was on a bull!
