COWGIRL Magazine Hangs Their Hat On The $21,500-Added Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping

COWGIRL Magazine has signed on as the new title sponsor of The Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping event, one of the premier features in the rapidly expanding Cowgirl Gathering event at the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards.

The Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping kicks off on November 13, 2021, inside the historic Cowtown Coliseum in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

What’s the Payout?

The Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping is one of the highest paying one-day ropings in the world. In its inaugural year, the all-women roping paid out more than $45,000 in eight hours along with a trove of other prizes.

“We are thrilled to be aligned with The Cowgirl Gathering,” said Ken Amorosano, COWGIRL’s Editor in Chief. “This event saw great success in its inaugural year, and we couldn’t think of a better event to support. Breakaway roping is on the rise in our industry right now, so being able to support an event for cowgirls at The Cowgirl Gathering is something we are truly passionate about.”

APHA’s Executive Director Billy Smith said this partnership is a continuation of the growth and support of the Cowgirl Gathering, the premier cowgirl Western heritage platform.

“The Cowgirl Gathering is designed to showcase cowgirls as far and wide as possible, so having a major media channel like COWGIRL Magazine join our initiative is truly special. Similar to the way Chrome Magazine is designed to highlight the amazing stories of Paint Horse people, COWGIRL Magazine is dedicated to highlighting amazing women across the Western industry, and what better way than to showcase the amazing talents of our breakaway ropers at The Cowgirl Gathering.”
