Ho Ho Ho! Bake Your Horse A Christmas Treat


Peppermints, molasses, and oats… It doesn’t get more yummy for your horse than those ingredients. Mix and mash them up to create the perfect horse treat. This Christmas will be extra special for your furry child. You can stuff some in their stocking and say Santa Claus came to town.

Who’s ready to get baking?!? These yummy horse cookies are simple to make!

A Christmas Horse Treat

  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 apple, grated
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 1/2 cups oats
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • ~1/2 cup flour (depending on how wet your mixture is)
  • peppermints


  1. Mix all of the ingredients together, besides the peppermint.
  2. Use an ice cream scooper to portion the mixture onto a cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 300 degrees for roughly 30 minutes.
  4. After removing from the oven, place one peppermint on each treat.
