“Our story started August 11, 2012, our wedding day! It was a dream of ours to have a family and start soon! We thought it would come easy just like anyone would, but it didn’t! It was a dream of not only ours but our families’ as well, especially my Grandma Snow’s! Every time I called my Grandma she just thought it would be the call to say I was pregnant. In 2013 she became very ill…her cancer had returned. It was taking her pretty quick, and I had just felt like I failed her because I never got the chance to make that phone call.

“She was in and out the last day she was on this earth. She woke up and looked at me and said, “Oh… she is just so beautiful!!” I looked at her and said, “Who Grandma?” She said, “Your baby girl. She has blonde hair and blue, blue eyes! She wanted her name to be Paisley Rose!!”

“A few months after her passing was my birthday, which would be a tough one because she always made our cakes and would call to sing happy birthday. Well, on the morning of my birthday I found out I was pregnant. I just knew it was a gift not only from God but my Grandma! I knew it would be a girl and I would call her Paisley!

“I was nine weeks and we had just moved into our first home. It was a regular check up and the doctor decided to do an ultrasound just to check on things because I had such a hard time getting pregnant. He couldn’t find the heartbeat we once heard. I was all by myself. I couldn’t and didn’t want to believe it! I just knew he was wrong!

“They gave us the clear after two months we could try again! Two months later I was pregnant again, with yet the same disappointment we had on the first we had a heartbeat and the next appointment no heartbeat. We decide to take a break for a while! A year and a half later we got pregnant again and lost it at week five. After many doctor visits, opinions, diagnoses, and treatment, we decided to try a new treatment they had come out with. We had enough heart break and were ready to do whatever it took mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally to have a baby!

“In November 2016, we started treatment which consisted of daily shots in the stomach for 10 months. By December we were pregnant and everything was going great, until we had two ER visits due to a hematoma they weren’t sure if she would make it. It was 50/50 and I was on bed rest for a few months.

“On February 11, my Grandma’s anniversary of her passing, we had our gender reveal! It was a girl! Just like Grandma said it would be. On August 1st, 2017, we welcomed our little blonde hair blue eyed little girl, just as Grandma Snow had said.

“Paisley Rose is nothing short of a miracle. There were many times I didn’t think I would be able to have children due to my medical condition. My favorite saying comes from a daily devotional that my Grandma gave me. It said, “Miracles happen because people have faith. Not faith in miracles; Faith in God who performs miracles.”

“Paisley Rose is full of joy! She loves her horses, loves driving her cars, and most of all being the star of the show. The car we used is over 55 years old and belonged to my mom and her brother as kids. Grandma Snow had Paisley’s Great-Great Uncle Ed restore the car as a gift to my mom over 20 years ago. She has her Daddy’s looks and has her Mommas love and no-fear attitude towards horses. In every picture, there is a piece of my Grandma Snow. We all know she had a huge part in bringing our Wild One into this world! The day we took Paisley’s one year pictures with Janzen Tew of Denim & Velvet Marketing + Design was a day I had dreamed of for a long time. I always had a vision of an Indian theme complete with a headdress, painted pony, and teepee. Thanks to Janzen, she saw my vision through on our special day!
