Award-winning country duo Maddie & Tae give a glimpse at their forthcoming project Through The Madness Vol. 1 with a brand-new song “Strangers.” Penned by Maddie & Tae with Adam Hambrick and Jimmy Robbins, “Strangers” captures the feeling of a fated connection powerful enough to make life before love seem to disappear.

Priscilla Block’s new single “My Bar”

“’My Bar’ is a song we wrote probably two or three years ago, and it’s funny because I’ve always loved this song and when I wrote it, I could kind of hear potentially a guy cutting this song. And I thought it’s kinda cool hearing a girl say ‘This is my bar.’ Like, everyone knows a guy loves a good bar, but why can’t a girl love a good bar, and this song just kind of feels like my anthem.”

Emily Scott Robinson’s new video for “If Trouble Comes A Lookin'”

“If Trouble Comes a Lookin’” features a discontented wife with a wandering eye and a priest feeling distant from what he once interpreted as a calling to the church. The only tie that binds these sorrowful souls is the self-inflicted captivity they now face as a consequence of vows they took in the seemingly distant past.

Emma White’s new single “Cowboy”

Emma White had a lot of really great success in the country realm, but her new single “Cowboy” pushes the genre envelope to more R&B country. She sings about finding a cowboy that she wants to take home to meet family and friends and run off into the sunset with as she exclaims, “Be my cowboy / Take me away.”

Jessica Willis Fisher new single “Fire Song”

Of “Fire Song,” Jessica shares, “Right before I left, I was having these nightmares that the house was on fire and I was the only one who could tell, and everybody else was going about their normal lives. I was shouting, ‘Wake up! Wake up! We  gotta  get out!’ And I realize now that that was me, trying to say to myself, ‘We have to get out of here!’ So, we’re starting with ‘Fire Song,’ because in my story, I didn’t get to start over until I went through that fiery part.”

Danielle Bradbery’s new single “Break My Heart Again”

“When writing a song, usually it’s coming from a place that’s personal. For me I’m always trying to put out what’s truly real to me and real for my fans,” Danielle explains. “Even though I wasn’t in the room when this song was created, there’s still something so special about listening to a song that you immediately feel something for, as if you were there writing it.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWnVjSD6xzY

Carlile returned to the stage to perform her swelling country-rock drama, “Right on Time,” the lead single from her stunning new album, In These Silent Days. This time, Carlile wore a glittering black-and-white suit, appearing alone on a darkened stage, playing the opening verse on piano. The crowd gasped as she turned to the camera and sang the end of the verse in chilling a cappella. Then, Carlile picked up her guitar and rejoined the rest of her band at the front of the stage, bringing the song about two embattled lovers to its soul-melting crescendo.

Kassi Ashton’s new song “Heavyweight”

The lyrics, Whatever you got to say, I’d appreciate / Just the bare-bone cold hard truth / I’d rather be alone / to be honest, I’m a full grown woman / I can handle your hardest shot, give me what you’ve got/ I’ve seen way worse than you/ paint a picture of the strength and unwavering determination, two attributes Kassi wishes to share most with her fans.

Emily Scott Robinson’s new album “American Siren”

Reflecting on the record, Robinson shares, “I think that the thread running through the album is those things that call to us, and how we can’t resist that call. It’s about the siren songs that come up through our lives. It is bigger and riskier and more expansive than my last collection. It feels like I wrote some songs that I’m going to grow into as I continue to perform them. They’re excavating some deeper stuff than I’ve touched on before, I think they will have a healing quality for people who listen.”

Amanda Cooksey’s new concept project “Him”

“I’ve been working on this album for the last two years so there are so many emotions that I feel about it finally being out in the world! Although this project is about a breakup I went through, it’s much more than that to me. It’s an end to a chapter of my life and the start of a growth period of learning who I am and what I want. I hope that people can find themselves within this album, and I hope people know they are not alone no matter what they are going through,” said Amanda Cooksey.

Wild Fire’s new single “What If We Never Met”

Finding happiness again and realizing that the person who once broke you isn’t worth fighting for is one of the main themes in this song. Regarding continuing on in a bad relationship, Kayla and Kelli said, “The truth is, we are fooling ourselves. We should never waste precious time on someone who we have to constantly cater to.” Music is a language of emotion that can represent various feelings. “It’s ok to let go of relationships that do not add value to our lives. Just know that greater things are in store,” says Wild Fire.

Olivia Farabaugh’s new video for “Body Will Break”

“For so long I wanted to write a song about this piece of my life that was so private, but I never seemed to know where to start. It was so close to my heart. Then it hit me, the song isn’t supposed to be about the struggle I have physically, but in the struggle to mentally accept this new reality and my new body. My mind and body were constantly at war,” expresses Olivia.

Reflecting on the album, Carlile shares, “Never before have the twins and I written an album during a time of such uncertainty and quiet solitude. I never imagined that I’d feel so exposed and weird as an artist without the armor of a costume, the thrill of an applause and the platform of the sacred stage. Despite all this, the songs flowed through—pure and unperformed, loud and proud, joyful and mournful. Written in my barn during a time of deep and personal reckoning. There’s plenty reflection…but mostly it’s a celebration. This album is what drama mixed with joy sounds like. It’s resistance and gratitude, righteous anger and radical forgiveness. It’s the sound of these silent days.”

Annabel Gutherz’s new album “Loose Ends”

It’s a comforting record that cathartically encapsulates life’s unfinished moments: “Many times in my life, I was unable to get closure. Instead, I was left to bear the weight of the words I never said and the inescapable memories that tethered me to my past, suspending time. Understanding my need to let go of these ‘loose ends,’ I turned to song,” Annabel says.

Megan Knight’s new single “Hard Way To Go”

She was initially inspired after listening to “Ohio” by Neil Young. “The tuning of that song had ideas flowing right off the bat,” she recalls. “Lyrically, the song tells of my life on the road and sacrifices I’ve made since a child to pursue my dreams in this industry. It’s definitely not an easy business to get into but no matter what it’s taken, I’ve always felt I’d do anything to be able to follow my dreams.”

Emily Scott Robinson’s new single “Let ‘Em Burn”

Reflecting on the video, Robinson shares, “Cal and Aly had a beautiful vision, to film the video for this song in a Tennessee riverbed. It created a gorgeous and dark intimacy for the song,” and continues, “This song is for anyone who ever built a life they felt trapped in. For every person locked in their own cage, swallowing their desperation and disappointment, wondering if they have the courage to ask for what they really want.”

Stella Prince’s new single “The Rain Might Fall”

“The Rain Might Fall” paints the picture of what it’s like to wait for change, a dream that time can suddenly move so quickly and everything can be changed forever. The thunder is the energy that knows what’s going to happen next, and you have to trust that it’s all knowing and the intuition that something’s about to happen before the storm. “The motivation behind writing this song was the fact that none of us know what’s going to happen next,” shared Stella Prince. “Something I’m constantly frustrated with, the idea of not knowing what my life will look like.”

Jess Kellie Adams’ new video for “Saving Grace”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIosCQfS4Dc

About the song, Jess said that “‘Saving Grace’ is a testament to the power of a love that never gives up no matter how hard life gets. “We have all been there at some point in our lives: struggling to find the light at the end of the tunnel when suddenly a saving grace appears and awakens us to a greater purpose. When someone listens to my music, I want them to feel inspired, strong, loved, and welcomed into the JKA family. I want them to have a smile of relief because they know we share similar stories and so do so many others in the audience as well.

This song means so, so much to me. Not only does this song represent my journey, but I hope the message reflects yours as well. This is our story.”

Carly Pearce’s new release “Dear Miss Loretta” feat. Patty Loveless

“To hear Patty Loveless sing your words, there’s no way to describe that sensation,” Pearce says. “Her voice is Appalachia, those mountains and hollers are country music. To think, a year ago, I was asking myself, ‘What would Patty Loveless do?’ thinking about all her songs, how smart and sassy she always was… and now she’s on one of mine.”

Casi Joy’s new single “Senses Fail”

“I wrote “Senses Fail” about that moment when one of your senses brings you right back to a loss or experience you thought you had healed from,” Joy explains. “It’s always fascinated me how our five senses can act as triggers, and is something I think we’ve all experienced. Smelling a certain scent or hearing a song can pop you right back to that moment, and it’s almost like no time has passed; you can feel it all again.”

Savannah Rae’s new single “Typical Texas Girl”

Rising country star and COWGIRL reader, Savannah Rae, says, “‘Typical Texas Girl’ is inspired by some of the stereotypes Texas girls can often face, and how some people may underestimate us. People see the big hair, the rhinestones, the dressed to the 9’s, and automatically assume we are lesser than. But what they don’t see is how hardworking, resilient, capable, and smart Texas girls actually are.”

Teea Goans’ new single “Easy”

Of her new song, written with her producer Jim “Moose” Brown, Goans says, “Moose and I wrote ‘Easy’ on the first day we met. The idea came from 2020 and the challenges brought on not only from the pandemic, but also some abrupt changes in my personal life as well. My husband was my safe place. No matter how uncertain life felt, or I felt, he was a steady place to land. The production represents who I am in my life in this moment.”

Emily Scott Robinson’s new single “Old Gods”

Of her upcoming album, Robinson shares, “I think that the thread running through the album is those things that call to us, and how we can’t resist that call.

Danielle Bradbery’s new single “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots”

Danielle Bradbery shares a coming-of-age declaration with new track “Stop Draggin’ Your Boots.” She says “This song is a fiery anthem for every girl that’s ever felt strung along by a guy. The bold lyrics and sassy beat really pulled me in and reminded me of that fun, Shania Twain, 90’s country pop vibe that I’m pumped to channel that into my music. It made me feel for the times my friends and I have been in the middle of these situation-ships. There’s no longer room for wishy-washy feelings or time for you to be unsure – you’re either all in or you’re out!”
