This year's Wrangler NFR may look a little different, but that doesn't mean cowgirls will be missing any of it. Any cowgirl worth her salt will be taking part in the festivities and watching the nation's most talented rodeo athletes go for the gold.

Apart from the rodeo itself, Wrangler NFR is a gathering of the western community for celebrating their collective lifestyle through sport, get-togethers, and...well, shopping. Cowgirls from all walks of life come together for the events, including rodeo wives, content creators, exhibitors, and, of course, athletes.

We spoke with NFR-bound cowgirls Tiffany Cooper, Shaley Ham, Quincy Eldridge, and Stevi Hillman about their best NFR advice and go-to products and put together our very own Wrangler NFR Survival Guide. Saddle up for the 10 biggest nights in rodeo!

As a rodeo wife and supporter, what do you make sure to bring for you and your husband, Tuf?

Half of Walgreen’s pharmacy, our favorite snacks and drinks, baby powder for his ropes, hand sanitizer, horse ear plugs...this list is long.  I like having all that stuff before we go out because it gets busy the first day we’re there so I don’t have time to go to the store.

How do you organize and style ten nights of outfits?

I just put clothes and boots in tubs and unpack when we get there. I style my outfits once I unpack in the hotel room. Some days I leave our room in the morning and don’t make it back in time to change for the rodeo so I’ve learned to put a few accessories in my purses like a wild rag, heels or some jewelry just to dress up my day look for the rodeo. 

what is your best piece of advice for surviving ten days of rodeo action?

Pace yourself! There are so many events, shopping and parties to go to. If you’re going to be out there the whole time, I’d say take it easy the first weekend.

As an exhibitor, what are the most important items to have during NFR?

Last year I finally caved and bought the cutest gold high heeled tennis shoes. They saved my feet and still didn’t kill the fashion vibe. If you don’t have a padded floor I suggest you rent or invest in one, they really save you and your employees’ feet.   

How do you organize and style  your NFR looks?

I try everything on ahead of time, take pictures, and save them on my phone. Some days you're so tired you don’t even want to think about what you're wearing, so this really helps.

What is your best advice for surviving three weeks at NFR?

If you're there for the duration, I advise staying in a smoke free hotel.  It seems like it has helped us stay healthier through the week and after the show is over.

When packing for your horse, what are a few essential items?

I make sure to have more than I need as far as any emergency meds or kits for wrapping legs or anything.  Anything and everything that keeps them feeling good and happy. Horse massager is important!

Do you use any special tack or gear for NFR?

I have had some wonderful people give breast collars and headstalls that I have used.  Anything that’s comfortable for my horse is most important. 

What is your best piece of advice for surviving three weeks at NFR?

Having a great team, because you pretty much become a zombie and need people to guide you and help.  Also Tylenol, eat healthy and take 5 minutes a day for yourself.

As a content creator, what are your NFR essentials?

Two things: a stand-out wardrobe and my sister, a.k.a. my assistant! She helps me keep my clothes organized and after changing 2-3 times in one day.

How do you organize and style your NFR looks?

I love finding simple pieces, like a shirt, dress or blazer, then figuring out ways to add my own flair to them.  For example, my go-to has been sewing long fringe onto these pieces to really make them stand out, and the longer the fringe the better!

What is your best piece of advice for surviving three weeks at NFR?

Pace yourself and create a flexible schedule before it all begins. Spread out your shopping and attraction hopping across multiple days. And make sure to leave some wiggle room, because it's always fun to attend last minute events when they come up!
