A Tribute To Tammy Pate

Today, we mourn the tremendous loss of an amazing cowgirl, Tammy Pate. Tammy was a true visionary – founding Art of the Cowgirl to showcase and celebrate cowgirls and their artistic contributions to the Western lifestyle through an annual gathering. She touched so many lives throughout her time on this earth and will be missed immensely.

In a 2021 COWGIRL article, Tammy shared, "This cowgirl way of life has been a blessing.  It has taught me to appreciate all living things and the artistic capabilities and talents the West brings out in people.  It has instilled in me a determined work ethic and passion for the land, animals, and the people who care about it.  I wouldn’t trade one minute of it.  I feel fortunate both my mom and grandma are here to see what they made of me and I’m proud to carry on the legacy of their ranch life and tradition.  I’m proud to see my children, as well, carrying on in this tradition and feel blessed to able to share Art of The Cowgirl with everyone who dreams to live a cowgirl’s life."
