Contemporary artist, Jessie Murph, has gone back to her roots and shown up in boots! She collaborated with country star, Maren Morris, in her latest song, "Texas." The song illustrates the heartbreak of a cowboy riding away, going back to the Lonestar State.

Jessie Murph is most known for pop with r&b influence, with her most known songs being, "While You're At It" and "Upgrade." However, she has recently dipped into country influence with her two newest songs-- "Texas" and "Cowboys & Angels." She has a unique and notable voice full of emotion in all of her songs.

Maren Morris, a Texas native, was drawn to the song.

"I don’t do many features (also I’m in the middle of making my fourth album) but when I heard Jessie Murph's music, I knew she had it," wrote Maren in her latest post. She most recently released her album, "Humble Quest," filled with relatable songs.

Jessie wanted to work with Maren, as she always looked up to her.

"I have been listening to Maren since I was 12, what an absolute HONOR it is to have her on my song, little me is crying right now," wrote Jessie.

Together, the duo created a one-of-a-kind spin on the tale as old as time of a cowboy riding away. Their voices mesh beautifully with an understated contradiction between Maren's feminine and soft vocals and Jessie's raw and unfiltered vocals.
