Robin Hoffman Haack’s childhood was spent on the stunning beaches of south Orange County. Coming from a long lineage of world class surfers, she was more familiar with riding waves than horses, but everything changed when she was eight years old.

She was introduced to horses by a family friend, sparking an immediate love connection. “I told my parents I wanted a horse. I didn't want to just ride, I wanted to compete,” she says. “So they got me a horse, I started with a trainer, and began showing at nine. I showed Western all through my childhood and began showing reined cow horses when I became a teenager.”

In her early 20’s, she started showing cutting horses and winning numerous championships. The competitions had her moving to Texas, where her competitive success continued to flourish and she was inducted into the National Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame as a Non-Pro.

Throughout her showing career, she sold fabrics for her family’s company, Hoffman California Fabrics, before moving back to California to work for the company full-time. Robin's family history in textiles, as the third-generation co-owner and CFO of the renowned 100-year-old company, has left an indelible mark on the fashion industry, having played a pivotal role in the success of iconic brands such as Hang Ten, Ocean Pacific, Quicksilver, Billabong, and Ralph Lauren Polo, among many others.

Her new venture, LOVLEI Ranch, draws inspiration from the colorful heirloom prints of the Hoffman library, paying homage to its coastal roots while embracing the future of Western Wear. Robin says, “We've always talked about having a clothing line because here at Hoffman Fabrics, we design and print textiles for all industries, and our library of prints is huge. So I hired a designer, Anna Kenney, and we really hit it off. We began working on starting a clothing brand, and launched LOVLEI last year. During that process, I had so many of my cutting horse friends coming to me asking me why I hadn't done some Western clothing.”

She continues, “Anna and I have been working on this collection that we’re launching for over a year and a half, from concept to creating, deciding what type of look we wanted it to be, what type of prints we want to strive for. We searched through the enormous Hoffman library that dates back to the 20’s and found some one-of-a-kind key prints that would be subtle, but still Western and really unique to our brand.”

Robin’s mission with LOVLEI Ranch is to help women feel bold, beautiful, and confident to wear prints and not live in solids. For Robin and her team, Coastal Cowgirl isn’t just a trend, it’s a lifestyle. From Sand to Saddle.

LOVLEI Ranch will be hosting a launch party fashion show in Palm Desert on October 21st. Stay tuned for more! Make sure to follow LOVLEI Ranch on Facebook and Instagram, and keep an eye on lovleiranch.com for the collection launch.
