Yesterday, March 22nd was deemed National Agriculture Day. Boy, was it celebrated among the Western side of social media!

The hardworking farming and ranching communities in America deserve all the recognition they received! They also deserve all the awareness that the national day of agriculture brought to them.

The White House declared the day to them on March 21st, 2022.

"On National Agriculture Day, we recognize the invaluable contributions of American farmers, farmworkers, ranchers, fishers, foresters, and other agricultural workers, who have practiced their craft for generations and touch the lives of Americans every day.  Their tireless efforts growing crops, raising livestock, and distributing food, fuel, and fiber sustain America and the entire world."

As we appreciate all the hard work of those in agriculture, let's also take a look at the successes of women in ag.

The 2017 Census of Agriculture reports about 55.8% of farms in the United States have female producers. (The exact statistic is 1,139,675 out of 2,042,220 farms.)

To all the ranch mamas, ranch wives, ranch owners, cowgirls, horsewomen, cattlewomen... we thank you!

To all the ranchers, farmers, truckers, nutritionists... anyone involved in ag... we thank you!

Happy belated National Agriculture Day!
