Beth Behrs has a knack for being funny. Starring in back-to-back CBS Television series, 2 Broke Girls and The Neighborhood, the comedic actress has been a staple of comedy television on the CBS Network for more than a decade.

Growing up around horses, but never having an opportunity to own one, it wasn’t until later in her early twenties that she was reintroduced to horses during her role on 2 Broke Girls. Upon landing the series, Beth began to interact with Chestnut, the on-set horse who lived in her character’s tiny backyard.

As someone who suffers from anxiety attacks, Beth credits the relationship with horses as a steadying influence in controlling her anxiety.  After recognizing the benefits of this human-to-horse relationship, she finally decided to have one of her very own and adopted Belle, a paint mare, half BLM Mustang, and half Quarter Horse.

After sitting down with Wendy Wilkinson for the in-depth interview, Beth spent the day with the talented photographer Abby Linne, who got into the spirit of Beth’s relationship with Belle at the North Hollywood stables where she boards.

Her affection for horses doesn’t stop with her own, as Beth has volunteered her time with the EQUUS Foundation as an EQUUStar ambassador. We love that Beth is a fan of COWGIRL and are proud to have her tell her inspiring story in the pages ahead.
