The 2021 Cowgirl Gathering, hosted by the American Paint Horse Association, is set to make history in the Fort Worth Stockyards November 11-14, 2021.

This weekend takeover of the historic Fort Worth Stockyards highlights cowgirls’ skills in breakaway roping, team roping, and barrel racing, while also showcasing exhilarating and engaging female speakers, artists, fashion, and much more.

“It’s her heart and soul that makes a cowgirl who she is—determined and fierce and ready to take on the world—and we’re excited to showcase that spirit in the heart and soul of Cowtown this November,” APHA Senior Director of MemberCare and Publications Jessica Hein said.

Cowtown Collection has partnered with the APHA to bring the opening event for the renowned Cowgirl Gathering weekend to present the public with a premiere group of western artisans at Brumbaughs fine home furnishings on Thursday, November 11 at 6 p.m. Witness talented artists and gearmakers such as Mike and Wilson Capron, Emily McCartney, Don Bell, Bradley Guin, Chance Hays, and Matt Litz showcase their work in an effort to raise money for the APHA foundation as well as the Wings of Hope Equitherapy program.

Moving on to Friday, November 12, there will be a $2,500-added Open all-women team roping followed by a $7,500-added #9.5 all-women team roping in the historic Stockyards Coliseum on November 12 starting at 9 a.m. With two divisions offered and $10,000 added cash, there is sure to be a place for all competitors with huge payouts!

Meanwhile, across the street in the Cowboy Channel Studio, day one of the Cowgirl Essence Exchange kicks off at 4:15 p.m on Friday, November 12. Female speakers and performers from across the Western industry are slated—all bringing their unique cowgirl essence! Hailey Kinsel, Pam Minick, Sherry Cervi, and plenty more will provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience for attendees.

On Saturday, November 13, an $11,500-added Open breakaway and $10,000-added WCRA Challenger breakaway will take place under the bright lights of the Coliseum. This event is one of only a select few events designated as fast-track qualifiers to the Women’s Rodeo World Championships, which will payout more than $750,000 to women athletes. The Cowgirl Gathering Breakaway Roping, presented by COWGIRL Magazine is poised to be one of the highest-paying breakaway ropings in the country. Day two of the Cowgirl Essence Exchange fires off at 8 a.m. in the Cowboy Channel Studio on Saturday, November 13. Amanda Kimes jump-starts the day followed by Elizabeth M. Beck, District 9 Fort Worth City Councilmember, Jackie Hobbs-Crawford, Lindy Burch, Dena Kirkpatrick, Susan Maddox, and more. There will be lunch and live music starting at 12:15 p.m. followed by more guest speakers including Billie Bray, Sandy Collier, and more. Cowgirls from all walks of life bring the heart and soul of what being a cowgirl means to them.

Don't forget about the Fashion Show, taking place in the Stockyards Mule Alley, on Saturday, November 13, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit the American Paint Horse Foundation and HORNS FOR HOPE.

Finishing out the weekend, the Cowgirl Gathering $20,000 Open 5D Barrel Race will bring the speed into the Coliseum at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 14th.
