Cowgirl - M-T-G

Most horse owners are somewhat familiar with Mane Tail and Groom (M-T-G). It’s a product that is either loved instantly or found to be less than favorable. The reality, is that bacterial and fungus related skin conditions are no fun to deal with. On your search for a solution, you’ll probably want to give this product a try! It’s been treating skin ailments since 1938 in all types of pets.

Shapley’s M-T-G comes in both original and plus. The noticeable difference between the two is the scent. The original has a distinct smell that some might say is like bacon, while the plus smells like fresh herbs.

What does it treat?

  • Rain rot
  • Itchy skin
  • Dandruff
  • Tail rubbing
  • Scratches
  • Girth itch

On top of treating skin fungus and hot spots, it is found to promote hair growth. Some have noted as much as three inches of mane and tail growth in a single month.

To apply M-T-G, shake the bottle and then dispense a small amount on your hand or the infected area. It is a good idea to use rubber gloves if dealing with a fungus. Gently massage the oil-based product in the area. Do not wash it out. When applying to the mane and tail, you can run your fingers through the hair to lightly coat it.

It’s best to use M-T-G in the evening, as the sun can intensify the oils in the product. You should also be careful when covering the area to avoid excessive sweating. It is recommended to apply a small amount to a test area to monitor for any negative irritations.
