There's so much to experience and see. You can explore new and exciting trails with your four-legged best friend. It's important you create a checklist before you set out for this camping trip though. Horse Camping Checklist Your horse's regular food (hay, grain, supplements) Some of those 5-gallon water jugs filled with your horse's barn water Riding gear (saddle, breast collar, pad, headstall) Halter and lead line Grooming supplies (especially a hoof pick) Hobbles, portable corral, or high line kit Saddle bag Fly mask and bug spray Pitchfork or shovel for manure Manure bucket Sleeping bag Toiletries Proper riding attire (boots, jeans, gloves) Helmet Rain slicker or jacket People bug spray Sunscreen Simple meals and snacks (like trail mix or protein bars) Plenty of water for yourself First-aid kit GPS Bear spray Lighter Duct tape Batteries Flashlight Tents set up for camping.
