  • Your horse's regular food (hay, grain, supplements)
  • Some of those 5-gallon water jugs filled with your horse's barn water
  • Riding gear (saddle, breast collar, pad, headstall)
  • Halter and lead line
  • Grooming supplies (especially a hoof pick)
  • Hobbles, portable corral, or high line kit
  • Saddle bag
  • Fly mask and bug spray
  • Pitchfork or shovel for manure
  • Manure bucket
  • Sleeping bag
  • Toiletries
  • Proper riding attire (boots, jeans, gloves)
  • Helmet
  • Rain slicker or jacket
  • People bug spray

  • Simple meals and snacks (like trail mix or protein bars)

Your individual circumstances will dictate specifics that you need. It's a great idea to get your horse trailer serviced before you go on a trip. If you're trailer doesn't have living quarters, then you'll need a cabin or tent. There are many places that offer horse facilities like a corral for overnight use. Your camping adventure can be as rustic or glamorous as you make it!
