They say renditions can never beat the original. No matter the side of the argument you stand, some covers throw their hat in the ring, not as competition, but rather as a celebration of the great music that came before them. Case in point, Aaron Watson released two covers in anticipation for his latest album, "Cover Girl."

Alongside Kylie Frey, the duo recorded the classic "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, the queen of country herself. The cover would make her proud! In their release of the new record, Watson and Frey shared a video on the history of the song. Dolly Parton wrote it for a movie with the same name. Her infamous acrylic nails inspired the beat.

Kylie Frey is a rodeo girl turned country artist with known hits, like "Horses in Heaven" and "One Night in Tulsa." Her past experiences as a rodeo athlete inspire her current songs.

Following this release, Watson recorded the famous song, "Million Reasons" with the help of Morgan Myles. Lady Gaga originally performed the bittersweet melody. Morgan Myles is known by her debut on The Voice. She recently released the song, "Vertigo."

His new album will be out October 27th and is currently available for pre-order.
