Share The miniseries, 1883 is the prequel to Sheridan’s Yellowstone. It’s an American western drama with stars like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliott, Isabel May, and many other great actors. It follows the journey of the Dutton family as they join a wagon train and head west to Oregon. This exciting series premiered on December 18, 2022. It had ten episodes. The 1883 Cowboy Camp In order to get ready for this western drama, the actors needed to experience ranch life first hand. An authentic cowboy camp was created to turn these actors into real-life western riders, ropers, and wagon drivers. This camp had everything you might imagine existed back in 1883. From ‘egg on a spoon’ riding challenges to learning to swing a rope, this group had a fun and informative experience in cowboy camp.
