Leighton Berry, 3x NFR qualifier, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Kodi!

Kodi and Leighton met at the 2020 National Finals Rodeo in Arlington, Texas. He was there for his first-ever finals qualification and Kodi was there for her best friend’s birthday. The timing couldn't have been more perfect when they met at the Hooey Party one night after the rodeo. Leighton asked to take Kodi on a date the next day and the rest was history.

"I traveled back and forth to Texas from Oklahoma up until I graduated from cosmetology school when he finally convinced this Oklahoma gal to become a resident of Texas. We now have been together for close to three years and own a beautiful little home in Poolville.

"This year has been so amazing between being busy with my salon, doing hair for weddings, a great winter rodeo run earlier this year, finishing off the NFR strong, and becoming new homeowners. So of course in grand Leighton fashion, he decided we should kick off 2024 by getting engaged the day before New Year's Eve.

"He surprised me with the best staycation trip to Dallas and proposed the night we got there. We like to do things a little differently so we decided to disconnect from our phones and enjoy the rest of our trip as fiancés. I simply couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2023. God has done some pretty amazing things in both of our lives and I’m blessed to have a partner who is motivated, resilient, and just as strong in his faith as I am."
