If there were ever two insanely busy people in the rodeo and equine community, it's Shada and Trevor Brazile. Recently, the two accomplished athletes posted photos from the daddy-daughter dance and a mother-son date night. According to them, it's all about the little things when it comes to their parenting style!

Shada said, "Everyone is always making plans, our days are busy but if we don’t intentionally make plans with our kids we don’t get that one one-on-one time to spend with them, to listen to what they have to say. Making sure to create a lasting bond with each of my kids is high on my priority list. I think kids want our time more than anything else. These days are my best days.

"I read a quote once when Treston was little and it has stuck with me: "If you don't listen eagerly to the little stuff when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big because to them, all of it has always been big stuff."

"The only way to make sure they communicate with us is to stop and spend time with them. We aren’t perfect at this but it’s something we try to do."
