The 2024 BFI Week concluded with one of the most exciting days of roping, the all-girl team roping and breakaway roping. This year's event shattered records and proved the sport of women's roping is only continuing to grow. With nearly 200 breakaway ropers and a record-setting team count in the team roping, 2024 was one for the record books.

Macy Young came out on top of nearly 200 aggressive breakaway ropers as the Charlie 1 Horse Breakaway Roping Champion. Her horse, who used to be a barrel horse, allowed her to take her best shot every round, in a field of quick calves. Taking home $16,000, Young explained that her horse allowed her to have a competitive edge. In an interview at DruStew's sports desk after the roping, Young explained "He allows me a shot every time, he was the first horse I raised, he's very special to me and I love him".

In the team roping, it was Kenzie Kelton and Whitney DeSalvo concluded the 2024 BFI Week with a bang. The duo, who also took home the 2023 Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Team Roping title in 2023, took home the top spot in 2024 with an impressive 31.27-second aggregate time on three head. When the dust settled, it was the college student from Arizona and three-time WPRA World Champion from Arkansas that sealed the deal and walked away as the 2024 Bob Feist Invitational Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Team Roping Champions and a $23,000 payout. Returning to the winner's circle once again made this victory just as memorable as sweet for the duo.

Whitney DeSalvo, who also took home the second-place spot with Kelsie Domer, headlined the star-studded roping. DeSalvo also solidified her week by roping the fastest time of the roping with Kenna Francis, stopping the clock with a 5.84 run during the second rotation.
