The country music cowgirl, Jenna Paulette, is "getting back to the girl she was" in her recent single! With lyrics full of nostalgia, this will hit you in the feels!

She touches on the struggle of growing up while staying true to yourself. It's crazy to look in the mirror and see how far you've come.

It's a story Jenna Paulette lived herself. The Texas native grew up ranching with her grandad and uncle, then moved to Nashville to pursue her dreams of singing and songwriting. She had has a number of hits, including "Country in the Girl" and "Pretty Ugly."

When promoting the new release, she included a picture from helping her uncle sell their cattle when she was eight. It helped inspire her new song.

"Every time I looked at this picture growing up it was a reminder to me of all the things I love about myself. Being dirty, my freckles in summer, drinking a hot orange can of Gatorade on a truck-bed or fence, cattle, dust in the air and the feeling of being capable-- surrounded by my family, with the world at my fingertips. I am proud to say, the "Girl I Was" is now the woman I am," writes Jenna in her recent post.

Her ranching roots keep her true to country music. She recently spoke to the youth of agriculture on telling their stories. Read more about that here!

Streaming on all platforms, take a listen to her new song!
