The smell of roasted turkey legs in the air mingles with the slight aroma of barn animals. The heat from the pavement tickles your hands with each step. Kids laugh around you. It is officially fair time and arguably the best part of summer! From June to early September, county and state fairs call dibs on your weekends.

With the fairs comes the best part in the heat of summer-- a refreshing glass of equally sweet and bitter fair lemonade. One sip is the taste of summer. Welcome the fair into your home by opening a window and making yourself a fair lemonade!

The Farmwife Feeds shares her recipe for the infamous drink, the one she calls a "County Fair Lemon Shake-Up."
