These impromptu cloudy engagement photos were squeezed in in an hour right before an early June thunderstorm that quickly hit the southern Laramie range and western Laramie County. In typical Wyoming summer fashion, clouds will build and disperse rain and hail and then move on in as much time needed to take shelter.

The bride, Brittany, said, "Our wonderful photographer, Casey Nath with Blush Photography, came to our property where we rushed to get these photos in. She was so diligent and efficient in her setup and execution, what a pleasure this was to work with her. Andrew quickly gathered the horses and we were able to grab some photos with the dark sky building towards the east and feeling the temperature dropping quickly (that only means one thing – hail!). Chief, our 12-year-old Paint gelding, and Pinball, our 16-year-old Red Dun gelding, stood and cooperated like the models they are! The dogs... not so much. After 40 or so minutes of moving around the property, we drove down to a nearby Wyoming State land easement where Casey directed and caught some photos of us embracing with the South Laramie Range in the backdrop while hail began to fall. And just like that, we had our first family photos taken. The power behind mother nature in Wyoming earns the respect of us who are stewards of its land, and these photos show the correlation between the power of a storm and the power of our family’s love."

Blush Photography said on social media, "Sometimes the severe weather warnings are worth the risk. Cold, wind, rain, hail, and some very beautiful cloud displays!"
