Rodeo athletes across the country are hitting the road for the 4th of July weekend, affectionately known as "Cowboy Christmas." It's one of the busiest and most profitable weekends in the rodeo season and is a major game-changer in the World Standings race. While it would take hours to list out every single rodeo going on over the next few days, we've highlighted the highest-paying rodeos that will make the biggest difference when the dust settles. While it's not over the 4th, the Reno Rodeo is considered to be the start of Cowboy Christmas. The rodeo ran June 16-24 and had a total payout of $500,000. The Greeley Stampede is also a defining rodeo for the standings, with a total payout of $267,220.
