Growing up on her family's grain and cattle ranch in California, Callie Twisselman learned the value of hard work very early on. This strong work ethic led her to Nashville to pursue her dream of a career in music. It's definitely paid off, with her debut single "Two Hands" releasing tomorrow!

Not only did she help on her family's ranch, she competed in rodeos as well. She said that high school rodeo was a big part of her life, and she still jackpots here and there, competing in Breakaway Roping and Team Roping. Although competing in rodeos and riding horses was a love, a career in music is the route she decided she wanted to take at a young age.

Her mom was in a country band, so music was always a big part of their household. Of growing up around her mom's music, she said, "Watching her sing and going to shows is where the buzz came from. At 10 years old, I decided I wanted to be a singer. I started by singing the National Anthem everywhere I could: rodeos, sporting events, and anywhere else I could think of." Her love for singing grew into writing her own songs as well and said, "Songwriting has been a big part of breaking out into my own artistry and becoming my own unique sound."

"Two Hands" is about a girl who is unapologetically herself and she can be a handful at times and hard to handle. Her man accepts her the way she is and loves her anyway. Callie can definitely identify with the girl in her song. "I love it because it doesn't have to be about being in a relationship. In general, that girl is like me. Although I'm not in the relationship, that's how I would want my relationship to be," she said.

With more venues opening up, hopefully we can see Callie performing live later this year! In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled for her future releases. She plans to release more songs throughout this year, and we can't wait!
