If you want to sell a quality horse, then you need a sales video. Buyers are traveling from all over to find their next horse. They want to see the horse move and perform before an in-person appointment. Without a good sales video, you stand to lose more than half of your buyers. Some are even willing to purchase from video alone!

Making the Sales Video

It can nerve-wrecking making a sales video. Most riders aren't use to the camera and attention being directly focused on them. It's important you keep your cool and treat the ride like any other.

Start off by riding the horse the same way you do everyday. Often when filming, riders get right to the good stuff and neglect the warm up. The horse doesn't perform their best because this isn't how their rides usually are. Pretend the camera isn't there!

Don't try to overdo it. If you get a few good maneuvers, then call it quits. It can be tempting to keep pushing for perfection, but you'll lose the quality in the end. You may even hurt your horse. You can always come back the next day.

Horse Training Pro put together a tutorial on how he does his sales videos. He uses a 2-year-old prospect to demonstrate his strategies. You can watch him go through and highlight various maneuvers.

Professionals realize the importance of a quality video. They take their time and put a good amount of energy into making it a success.
