"Dolly once said, “Don't be a lady, be a legend” and I want to be a legend. My name is Lexi Hoagland, I am 27 years old from Denver, Colorado and I live in Fort Worth working for Lane Boots over Creator Relations and National Accounts. I didn’t grow up in the industry but my parents raised my triplet brothers and I with western cultures and values. Moving to Texas and becoming immersed in the industry reminded me of home and I knew I had to be a part of it. I started freelancing for the CMAs in Nashville four years ago and worked for NRS for two years as Director of Sponsorships. I have seen a need for women to feel engaged, heard and involved. I started a women’s business development group/ social club in DFW called Cowgirls & Cocktails that aims to create a longer table instead of a taller fence. Within a year we have grown to 600 members, opened two other branches, and hosted monthly events for women to network, learn and engage with one another. I am driven by my faith, rooted within family, my friends inspire me, and this industry has given me a home."

Vision for the future of women in the Western industry: "This last year I served 12 high school girls within my church. I have mentored, guided and been a confidant for them through challenges and celebrations. The younger generation has not only taught me what our youth is battling but so much about the woman I want to be, the women I want to raise, and the women I surround myself with. I’ve sat with girls who had currently been contemplating suicide, self harming, and had nobody in their corner to cheer them on. My vision for these women and women in this industry is to be rooted in western morals. For them to feel empowered, resilient, and trailblazers for their own paths. My prayer is they keep God at the center of their lives and rely on him through all circumstances - that they believe in themselves and know they are here for a reason not just a season."
