Winter has officially begun to settle in the Great White North, bringing a distinct buzz of anticipation and excitement to the town of Red Deer, Alberta. This week, all eyes will be on the elite pack of 108 qualifiers for the 49th annual Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR), held November 1-5 at the Westerner Park in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.

After a competitive season of Canadian rodeo competition, all eyes will be on the top 12 of each event, as they all vy for the coveted Professional Rodeo Canada champion titles. Headling the Saddle Bronc Riding are none other than 2023 NFR qualifiers Ben Anderson and Layton Green, as well as reigning CFR Champion Zeke Thurston.

Looking towards the timed events side of the completion, Montana native Haven Meged leads the Tie Down Roping pack; while his wife and Alberta native Shelby Boisjoli will also be competing for a coveted title in the Breakaway Roping. The Tie-Down Roping completion is sure to keep fans on the edge of their seat with several CFR rookies including, Austin Hines and Bo Pickett, who look to make their mark on their first CFR.

The team roping is also composed of a stacked line-up of Canadian professionals. Headling the pack is none other than the brothers from Wainwright, Alberta- Dillion and Dawson Graham. The duo will enter this year's competition in the driver's seat and will look to take home their second consecutive title. Albeit, they will not be alone in competition with professionals like Tee Mcleod and Calgary Smith on their heels.

Looking towards the ladies of the CFR, Lynette Brodoway will lead the pack of competitive barrel racers. Carlee Rae Otero will be competing as the lone American from Collinsville, Texas to compete amongst the field of Canadian cowgirls. In the Breakaway Roping the Boisjoli sisters, Shelby and Makayla will enter the event in fourth and fifth place, respectively. However, all eyes will be on 16-year-old cowgirl Audrey Ross as she enters the Breakaway Roping in the number one position.
